REMEMBER 2020, 1968, 1878, 1791 — WE CAN WIN

Thousands of years of kings, queens, emperors, presidents, & ministers demanding obedience. 500 years of crackers enslaving & colonizing this planet. 250 years of anglo/yankee domination.

Trump this, Musk that. Democrats, Republicans, Zionists, Confederates, Fascists, Conservatives, Liberals, Progressives. So many flavors of the same expired bullshit.

2020: Cops executed George Floyd. A police station was burnt down. For a brief moment, the world opened up.

1968: White power executed MLK. Black communities erupted into rebellion. For a brief moment, the world opened up.

1878: Indigenous peoples in the South Pacific rose up in arms against european colonizers attempting to exterminate their communities & hijack their homelands. For a moment, the world opened up.

1791: Enslaved Africans & their descendants began an uprising in the Caribbean, destroying property, profit, & slavery. For a long moment, the world opened up.

Whether a handful of friends or a massive crowd, we know that the footsoldiers of every regime can be defeated. The secret is to begin.

« In Memory Of Our Fallen; Let us turn their cities into funeral pyres.
In Memory Of Our Fighters; Let us honor your names with fire and gunpowder.
Peace By Piece
(A) »

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!
¡QUEREMOS UN MUNDO DONDE QUEPAN MUCHOS MUNDOS!

Back text:

Look for those pushing and help them push harder.

Move together. Be water.

They can control a march of 10,000 — they can’t control 10 marches of 1000.

De-arrest. Don’t let people get grabbed.
If they do, don’t let their cars or busses leave.

They only care about money, so causing monetary losses is your only vote.

On the inside, the demonstration is an organism of care and support.

On the outside, it is ferocious and uncontrollable.

Without their toys they are powerless.

No one is coming to save us.
Everything is at stake.

Festivals of Resistance

Festivals of Resistance
A Call for Gatherings the Weekend Before Trump Takes Office

Along with others around the country, we invite you to join us in organizing festivals of resistance on the weekend of January 18, immediately before Donald Trump takes office. This is a crucial opportunity to engage in outreach, education, and action ahead of what it is sure to be a tumultuous time.

Once Trump takes power, it will only become more challenging to make connections with our neighbors, create the networks that we will need to face down his assaults, and share the skills we will need to survive his reign. Right now, we have a precious window of time in which to prepare. Let’s make the most of it.

When Donald Trump enters office on January 20, he will order mass deportations, escalate the repression of protesters, dismantle the few judicial and legislative provisions that still protect ordinary people, and consolidate a propaganda ecosystem intended to stupefy us all into obedience. The Democratic Party is willingly handing power to an autocrat they say will bring democracy to an end; the Democrats show every intention of continuing to ratchet their own politics to the right. Authoritarian leftist groups are simply treating this as a recruitment opportunity.

But from Texas to the West Bank, millions of people’s lives are about to get even harder. We owe it to each other to meet the second Trump era side by side in solidarity.

The chaos that will accompany the return of the Trump administration represents an opportunity as well as a challenge. This is a chance to assert an autonomous pole of organizing, carrying forward the lessons of 2020 and the movement against Cop City while continuing the fight against patriarchal violence, white supremacy, and colonialism.

By organizing ahead of Trump’s inauguration, we can seize the initiative and set our own timeline rather than being caught flat-footed and forced to react. We need to welcome new participants into these struggles and foster a revolutionary perspective that can orient us through the challenges ahead. No amount of internet activity could substitute for gathering face to face. The most important battles ahead will not be fought online, but in the streets of our communities.

January 18 is observed as the Day of the Forest Defender. It will be the two-year anniversary of the murder of Tortuguita in Weelaunee Forest. It is an important date to gather, honor the memory of the fallen, and pledge ourselves to resistance and to one another.

How to Participate

You could start by calling for an assembly bringing together everyone who wants to participate in organizing. It could be a public gathering—if you think you can facilitate something on that scale—or an invitation-based conversation bringing together people who have already worked together or at least have cause to trust each other.

For the event proper, you could host workshops and distribute literature teaching security culture, digital security, protest safety and first aid, direct action, reproductive autonomy, forms of organization including affinity groups, and other skills that may be relevant in the years to come.

Local organizers could share stories and lessons from the history of resistance in your area during the first Trump era. You could facilitate discussions to identify what people need to do to prepare for the years ahead—both for their own safety and to ensure the safety of their communities—or to strategize about how to prepare to confront the Trump agenda in your region. You could do an art build for future demonstrations and an organizing fair to connect people to local projects. This will be a chance to expand rapid response networks for community defense and mutual aid.

In some places, the gatherings could conclude with public actions—a first salvo in the resistance to Trump’s plan for mass deportations. Elsewhere, there will be open assemblies, spaces for people to encounter each other and learn new ways of working together and sharing ideas. Small towns can screen documentaries or invite speakers to share their expertise.

It’s up to you and your community to decide what best fits your local context. The important thing is to create a space that can serve as a point of entry for everyone who needs to get connected ahead of the next round of struggles—a space where people can hone their skills and begin to think of themselves as a collective force.

No matter who Trump’s administration targets—whether immigrants, Palestine solidarity organizers, sex workers, schoolteachers, trans people, environmentalists, or people seeking abortions—we must show that we will love and protect one another. If we all pull together, showing everyone who wants to resist that there are movements that they can join, we can begin to build the strength that we will need to overcome the challenges ahead.

Events like this are already being planned in dozens of cities and towns. But time is tight. If we want to be ready, we have to get started now.

Learn from our mistakes: an uninterrupted IOF gala

Posted on 08/09/2024 - 08/09/2024 by chicagoantireport

This communique describes an attempt by a crew of fiends in Chicago to coordinate a disruption for a fundraising event benefitting the Illnois Friends of the IDF in March. This attempt ultimately failed to achieve its goals. The organizers hope to share what they learned during this attempt, as well as some information on the FIDF & its connection to the genocide of the Palestinian people, in hopes of inspiring & aiding the continued effort to disrupt this group.

As enemies of the IOF and the zionist state of israel, an autonomous crew began organizing against the “Friends of the IDF” Illinois Chapter. The Chapter planned to host its annual Young Leadership Bar Night & Fundraiser in the River North neighborhood of Chicago on Saturday night. They were disgusted at the thought of zionists safely gathering in bar in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Chicago to celebrate the genocide of Palestinians and raise funds to futher the genocide.

In deciding to disrupt a party to raise funds for the IOF’s bloodsoaked 35th Paratroopers Brigade, the crew identified 2 primary goals:

No money to the IOF. Materially prevent and/or disrupt the ability of zionists to make donations to the IOF (eg. ideally by shutting it down and/or ensuring the event does not take place as planned.)

Make zionists afraid. Instilling fear in zionists particularly to be public with their support, feel any comfort in gathering together, etc.

This crew thought about their experience with past actions to disrupt similar fascist events, and concluded that a passive sidewalk protest was unlikely to acheive either of these goals. The FIDF is very aware that it has enemies in Chicago, so having to walk past some people holding signs was unlikely to dissuade the type of people who will attend this fundraiser. In fact, it would probably contribute to their persecution complex. A public-facing call to action would also probably result in a large NGO call for a counter-protest, and the resulting peace-policing would prevent truly disruptive action from being taken.

Based on this assessment, they decided to try and coordinate a disruption only within the group, and to keep the project off social media & out of big chats unless mass support became necessary. It seemed likely that something could be done in the building where the fundraiser was going to be held, with a small number of people, that would close down the location or otherwise force them to cancel the fundraiser.

The initial advertisement said the fundraiser would be at “a River North nightclub,” and the actual address was only available to those who purchased a nearly $100 ticket. The group made a list of River North nightclubs with party spaces and did some internet sleuthing. Certain locations were ruled out due to size and other factors. The group then emailed these spaces, posing as a group inquiring on booking the space on the same day during an overlapping time. Spaces that responded and said they were available were ruled out. A different fake persona reached out to all the spaces on the list, posing as a clueless zionist mother wanting to buy her son a ticket to the gala. “I heard you’re hosting the event. Can I buy a ticket directly from you?” One of the spaces, Bodega Imports, responded, “How did you know we were hosting the gala?” And from there the crew got to work.

The process of deciding on, researching, & preparing for a disruptive plan ended up being riddled with dead ends. Supplies were unavailable, difficult to acquire in non-traceable ways, or tactics proved ineffective in test experiments. The biggest hurdle was when the event seemingly changed venues 4 days before — something that would not have been discovered if a group member hadn’t been following the social media of some FIDF admin. A story post boasted the number of tickets sold (over 650), which vastly outpaced the capacity of Bodega Imports. The apparent location change, and lack of scouted information on the new location, sent the group back to the drawing board impossibly close to the event date.

Someone floated the possibility of coordinating a group to be on stand-by for an above-ground disruption if the other routes of action failed, and the group agreed. They still wanted to cancel the fundraiser, but didn’t want it to go completely un-disrupted if that plan failed. They reached out via DM to some friends, and formed a chat with people who agreed to go to River North on the night of the event.

Despite continued ambitious investigation attempts, right up until the start time of the event, the location was discovered way too late. One group member found out through social media sleuthing that the event was at a bistro and nightclub called Tao. Unfortunately, this information was revealed only after the fundraiser ended.

Of course, the crew was devastated that this celebration of genocide went off without disruption. They met to discuss what could be done differently in the future, and came up with the following points:

The investigation of possible locations could have been kept open longer, alongside the process of preparing tactics.

A group could have been formed to focus on preparing above-ground disruption tactics such as bird-dogging, protesting, or blockading the club. The group could be separate from, but in communication with, the original crew.

The examination of the social media of FIDF admin & associates could have started earlier, as this was a very useful source of information.

Some method of accessing FIDF's internal comms, such as by infiltration or purchasing a ticket to the event, could have been done early in the process.

The above plans would have required additional people to be brought in, as the group was at capacity with investigating the first location and preparing tactics. More people would involve having a nimbler vouching process. Of course, it was only in hindsight that the need for these plans was indentified -- but, bringing in more people may have helped generate these ideas & more.

While the crew doesn’t generally regret their underground approach, they agreed that if they knew how tight the FIDF’s infosec was going to be, they would have moved differently from the beginning. Namely, they would not have counted so much on being able to identify & access the location, and in their ability to get the event canceled. They believe that having a larger group pursuing a wider array of investigative & disruptive tactics would have increased the likelihood that the event could be disrupted, and also, may have catalyzed a bigger movement to counter the FIDF’s operations. There was not general knowledge amongst Chicago anti-zionists, whether above- or below-ground, that the event was even happening, and having a media strategy to address this would have benefitted the organizing by adding more capacity. In the end, an over-reliance on below-ground organizing was a weakness of this particular project.

The rest of this document provides information about the FIDF, and about the particular brigade of the IOF that it financially supports. The crew hopes that this communique will be disseminated to anyone interested in continuing to organize against the FIDF and any similar groups funding of the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Where does the IL “Friends of the IDF” Chapter’s Blood Money Go?

The IL Chapter of the Friends of the IDF (ILFIDF) sponsors the 35th Paratroopers Brigade – an “elite airborne infantry” brigade. This level of sponsorship goes beyond what is typical for most chapters of FIDF which is to “adopt a battalion”. The 35th consists of three battalions, and like their benefactors at ILFIDF, they too are overachievers — when it comes to war crimes. Service is voluntary, and admission is highly competitive with 4 out of 5 applicants rejected in an average year.

As a result the Brigade has played a critical and leading role in the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Formed in 1955, the 35th’s first commander was Ariel Sharon, and they were responsible for the theft of the Western Wall and Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1967. They have been involved in every major military operation since their formation including suppression of the Second Intifada, both invasions of Lebanon, and the invasion of Khan Younis in 2014.

Today the 35th Brigade is once again invading Khan Younis. Self-reported troop movements by the IOF have placed them in the vicinity of the Al Amal and Al Nasser Hospitals during the siege and subsequent invasions of each hospital. Whether directly responsibly or not, they are at the very least implicated in the shellings, assassinations, kidnappings, torture, disappearances, and forced displacement of patients, refugees, and medical/humanitarian workers, and destruction of aid, medical equipment, and public health infrastructure at these locations and throughout western Khan Younis.

The Brigade, along with the larger 98th Division with whom they are embedded, has also called in airstrikes to the Israeli Air Force on multiple occasions. While we cannot definitively link any one bombing to them, we can establish that the 98th is “the unit that is leading the offensive in Khan Younis” according to Brig. General Dan Goldfuss. The overwhelming majority of the targets and deaths have been civilian including strikes on the Khalil Al-Rahman and Khalid bin Al-Waleed Mosques, the Ahmed Abdelaziz school, as well as countless homes and dwellings. In addition to the unmitigated slaughter, this coordinated campaign of terror has forced hundreds of thousands to flee to Rafah, many of them people who had already fled to Khan Younis from the north.

We hold ILFIDF responsible for their enthusiastic and vicarious participation in the 35th Brigade’s atrocious conduct, and as such call on all people of conscience in the greater Chicagoland area to disrupt their operations by whatever means appropriate to the task at hand.

Fuck the 4th, Siege the Ports!

Posted on 05/20/2024 - 05/20/2024 by chicagoantireport

(FOR IMMEDIATE AND WIDE DISTRIBUTION)

As the escalation of the genocide continues, an escalation on our end is demanded.

We call on cities across the U.S. to participate in a collective blockade and occupation of cargo ports and railyards.

To be clear, the one and only goal of this action is to economically affect the US for as long as possible.

These actions will be autonomous and horizontally organized, with a respect for a diversity of tactics.

We hope the radical orgs, crews, and rebels in their respective cities start planning NOW for a nationwide action on July 1st.

For the people of Palestine,
shut this shit DOWN.

REPORTBACK: RAMADAN FLOOD ON THE MISSISSIPPI

Posted on 05/07/2024 - 05/07/2024 by chicagoantireport

Chicago has amplified calls from the Palestinian resistance factions for mobilization against the Zionist entity and its enablers in the month of Ramadan and to mark six months since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. Israel cannot prosecute this war of extermination without the financial support of the United States. Nor can it maintain the pace of destruction without massive American arms transfers. In light of this we level our attack on the reserves and industrial capacity of the military-industrial complex.

A short drive west from Chicago sits the Rock Island Arsenal, headquarters of the US Army’s Joint Munitions Command. The JMC produces, tests, stores, repairs, and distributes conventional weapons, chemical weapons, vehicles, and other materiel to supply the US armed forces – and for arms sales and transfers. A militarily designated strategic rail network (STRACNET) rail line crosses the west end of the island on which the arsenal sits, connecting it to other JMC facilities and the wider strategic rail network at large. This rail bridge crosses a section of the Mississippi River that frequently floods – as such, its steel supports on the industrial southern bank have seen better days.

On the night of 4/6 we attacked this vulnerable section of track. Inspired by actions of anti-war anarchocommunist factions in Russia, we loosened and removed bolts from the tracks, installed a shunt to halt rail traffic, and applied an oxidizing compound of iron oxide, salt, and paint stripper to portions of the already pitted and rusting steel. And while they can power wash the supports and replace the bolts, the corrosion has already taken hold. It will fester even beneath new paint. Perhaps a similar seed of corrosion will take root in the minds of those who sit assured of the US empire’s invulnerability.

Although we do not know the effects of our actions, we are choosing to publish them to demonstrate how easily accessible these targets are and how relatively few and simple materials can be employed in the fight against Zionism and its imperial master. Our research on the national network of JMC facilities, strategic rail infrastructure, and replicable methods of disruption can be found here.

Much focus has been on the visible symbols of American complicity: the driveways of plants and headquarters with names on them, individual politicians, the registering of dissent through crowds in the streets. But the machine grinds away on slowly failing rail, road, and port infrastructure. We offer this to comrades within Chicago and beyond: The tanks do not drive themselves to the transport ships. The white phosphorus does not pack itself into shells. STRACNET rail junctions and routes crisscross the country, easily accessible by millions. How far do you live from a JMC facility? Attack at the death machine’s weak points. Create uncertainty about the things these murderers take for granted.

Ever vigilant,

Eleventh Hour

FREE PALESTINE MEANS ATTACK: Call for Autonomous Actions April 7 in Chicago, 6 Months since start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood

Posted on 03/14/2024 by chicagoantireport

Submitted anonymously

Palestinian factions have called for worldwide action for Gaza during the month of Ramadan, dubbed Ramadan Flood. From the call: “We declare our full support for the global Ramadan Flood campaign and call on the living consciences around the world for the largest official and popular global mobilization on the national, regional, and international levels during the blessed month of Ramadan under the title “Ramadan Flood” in support of the justice of our cause and to pressure to stop and end the genocide war and to thwart the “israeli” occupation’s schemes.”

In solidarity with this call and to honor exactly 6 months since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, this is a call for crews in Chicago to attack zionist entities and infrastructure around Chicago on April 7, 2024.

Get together with a crew — it doesn’t take many people to attack. Consider coordinating with other crews. Go somewhere unexpected, spread out city resources, hit them where it hurts, disrupt neighborhoods where people benefit from US imperial violence while insisting on the privilege not to think about it.

Together, let’s strike from a center of capital in the heart of US empire. As israel continues its genocide campaign against Palestinians and further escalates during the holy month of Ramadan, what are we waiting for?

Need ideas? Check out past actions on chicagoantireport.noblogs.org, scenes.noblogs.org, Bay Area Newsreel, monkeywrenching guide, etc (view these on Tor).

STAY SAFE, STAY DANGEROUS. SOLIDARITY MEANS ATTACK. FREE PALESTINE.

————-

A statement issued by the Palestinian factions regarding the Ramadan Flood campaign and the global movement to confront the zionist occupation’s plans and the genocidal war targeting our people and the Palestinian cause:

The Palestinian cause and the Gaza Strip are facing an unprecedented genocidal war and aggression that targets all meanings of humanity, exceeds the terrorism of fascism and Nazism, disregards all norms, laws, and divine and earthly ethics in the Gaza Strip and across all Palestinian land, destroying all aspects of life through killing, destruction, starvation, dehydration, and demolishing infrastructure.

Through this, it aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause and execute its plans against our people through displacement, settlement, Judaization of the land and the Islamic and Christian sanctities, ethnic cleansing, and racial discrimination.

In the face of this zionist aggression and genocidal war, the Palestinian factions affirm the following:

1- We declare our full support for the global Ramadan Flood campaign and call on the living consciences around the world for the largest official and popular global mobilization on the national, regional, and international levels during the blessed month of Ramadan under the title “Ramadan Flood” in support of the justice of our cause and to pressure to stop and end the genocide war and to thwart the “israeli” occupation’s schemes.

2- We call for this mobilization and global flood to include activating boycotts in all their forms and cutting off all supplies to the occupation, declaring strikes and sit-ins in public squares, and organizing marches in all capitals and cities.

3- We affirm the right of our people to freedom self-determination, the return to their land and homes, and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.

4- We reaffirm our absolute support for the resistance in facing the “israeli” occupation and driving it out of our land, as we call for the necessity of activating resistance in all its forms in all arenas and fronts, considering the blessed month of Ramadan as the month of the “Global Flood for the Victory for Palestine and Our Just Cause.”

In conclusion: To our Palestinian people, to our Arab and Islamic nations, to the free people of the world everywhere, the Palestinian blood shed on this land, which today in the shadow of the genocidal war exceeds 130,000 between martyrs, missing, and injured in Gaza, the targeting of the West Bank with settlement and ongoing aggression, Al-Quds with Judaization, Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Islamic and Christian holy sites with desecration and raids and preventing prayer, and the racial discrimination and ethnic cleansing against our people in the occupied Palestinian interior, and the spread of the zionist entity like cancer in the body of our Arab and Islamic nation and the entire world, make us today stand united in a global popular and official movement to face this zionist danger and its terrorist liquidation projects that have exceeded fascism and Nazism in their ugliest forms and manifestations.
